Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas have performed a free concert on Verizon’s ” Pay It Forward Live” program. The due performed the concert to help raise awareness of their mom Maggie Baird’s vegan Support. And also to support small businesses struggling to survive amid the coronavirus pandemic. “Pay It Forward Live” streaming series, is a weekly livestream starring the biggest names in entertainment to support small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The full concert can now be viewed on Verizon’s YouTube Channel.
How It Supports Businesses
During the live stream viewers are encouraged to support businesses through efforts such as online orders and the purchase of gift cards. Including vegan restaurants that are participating in the initiative. Vegan restaurants in Los Angeles and New York City have joined the initiative.
Eilish said, “I am honoured to be able to call attention to these local businesses, who have made an impact on my life, and are trying to make the world a better place.”
Billie Eilish is a vocal advocate of the vegan movement and is inspiring many of her millions of fans to give the lifestyle a try. Eilish was raised as a vegetarian and was homeschooled. In 2014 Eilish adopted a plant-based diet. She said there were a lot of reasons for the change but animal welfare was a leading motivator.
Billie Eilish often advocates for veganism on her Instagram page which has over 60 million followers. In one anti-fur post she said, “You b*tches getting mink lashes and mink slippers disgust me.”
In an interview when discussing a plant based diet Eilish said, “Pooping is one billion percent underrated, Pooping is my favourite part of the day. There was one day I pooped eight times… That was the best day of my life. And they were all solid, good poops too.”
